At its meeting on 8 October 2026, the Kreuzlinger Trade Union Federation discussed the difficult situation of employees in the newspaper and magazine industry. The upcoming attitude of the SonntagBlick as a Sunday newspaper and the consequences for delivery were the cause.

According to information from the meeting, in particular the loss of jobs and dismissals and numerous notices of amendment have been addressed.

Presto's information published in September shows how big the impact on delivery can be: the post daughters then reckoned with up to 70 terminations and contract adjustments for another 491 employees. The figures refer to the measures announced, not to a number of already pronounced terminations.

The syndicom union demands Ringier and the Post to prevent redundancies. Ringier must take responsibility for the assignees and co-finance any social plan.

In its opinion of 30 September, the transfair staff association still spoke of a possible reduction of up to 69 jobs. It demanded further employment within the postal service and solutions for the affected persons.

The last SundayBlick will appear on December 27, 2026. From January 9, 2027, the "Blick for the Weekend" will follow on Saturdays. For the editorial team... [truncated for model]
