On 16 October, the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) presented a new LOVE LIFE campaign for teenagers and young adults aged 16 to 26. Short videos, social-media content and opportunities to ask questions about safer sex are intended to make practical information available through channels young people use.
The FOPH estimates that around 90,000 young people in Switzerland have their first sexual experiences each year. This is an official estimate, not an individual count. The campaign aims to offer practical guidance on protection and sexual health and directs users to lovelife.ch and the Safer-Sex-Check.
The FOPH is running the campaign with Aids-Hilfe Schweiz and SEXUELLE GESUNDHEIT SCHWEIZ. The announcement sets out a budget of about CHF 450,000 per year for 2026–2029. The campaign is part of the national NAPS programme, which aims to prevent new transmissions of HIV, hepatitis B and hepatitis C by 2030 and reduce other sexually transmitted infections.
The announcement describes planned formats and objectives but does not yet report measured results. The campaign’s impact will need to be assessed later using evidence about its reach and outcomes.
